Great comics. :)

Let me see if I have Day of the Dead somewhere.
Not sure if it exists either.

There is 'Sergio Aragones Day of the Dead', but not really sure that counts as horror ;)

Well through the power of google, i have discovered that DeadDog comics in 2005 started an ongoing comic called Day of The Dead: The Rising of Bub

milehigh.com wrote:

DAY OF THE DEAD: THE RISING OF BUB #1
by Mark Kidwell & Greg Smallwood
In this amazing story, a group of human survivors acknowledge a small helicopter that has drifted in and out of their zombie-filled Florida costal city of the undead (as seen in the original Day of the Dead movie). When these survivors decide to find there way to the location of this helicopter they stumble into the world of everyone's favorite zombie, "Bub," and his clan of zombified flesh-eaters, who just happen to be all out of fresh meat. The sequel is even more intense than the original, and will surely satisfy all you hardcore Living Dead fans.

he even has his own myspace page, go bub http://www.myspace.com/therisingofbub

Bub's.Myspacepage.com wrote:
Day of the Dead:The Rising of Bub Comic spills onto shelves in September...find it, before it finds you.

Dead Dog Entertainment, the company that brought us all the "Night of the Living Dead: Barbara's zombie chronicles" comics brings you a new comic miniseries called "Day of the Dead: The Rising of Bub"

The story follows the popular character "Bub" from George A. Romero's 'Day of the Dead'movie.

seems it has been delayed until september 2006 but thats not too bad only a few days til september :)

found yet more Romero Comics

Tog Tags is the comic studio he started that ran a series called The Death of Death, which is an unused script for a "dead" sequel he was planning
wiki wrote:
Romero kicked off the DC Comics title Toe Tags with a six-issue miniseries titled The Death of Death. Based on an unused script that Romero had previously written as a sequel to his "Dead Trilogy", the comic miniseries concerns Damien, an intelligent zombie who remembers his former life, struggling to find his identity as he battles armies of both the living and the dead. Typical of a Romero zombie tale, the miniseries includes ample supply of both gore and social commentary (dealing particularly here with corporate greed and terrorism - ideas he would also explore in his next film in the series, Land of the Dead). Romero has stated that the miniseries takes place in the same world as his "Dead" films, only emphasising other places in the world besides Pittsburgh, where the majority of his films take place
