http://www.darksymphonies.com/Merchant2 ... ory_Code=O
Debut album which exposed the world the first time to the sound of Oriental doom death metal mixing cultural and Oriental elements into the metal structure to form a completely unique sound that categorizes Orphaned land all on its own. Keyboards and violin appear throughout their music, plus they utilize instruments like the oud (a stringed instrument with a cool twanging sound), dumbek, darbuka, pandero, tar, qannum, duff, and the shofar. Alternating between a deep clean voice and a gutteral growls. If you haven't experienced OL yet and are looking for something refreshing in the doom death world, don't miss this!

In a losless file you end up with an ape/flac file that is a compressed wav (perfect rip of an audio CD) and a cue file that has the times and gaps for burning an exact copy of the original CD (bearing in mind no burning errors happen) Exact Audio copy will make mp3's from an ape/flac with the right codec (all freeware and simple to get) or you can use Monkeys Audio Copy to decompress an ape back to the original wav and use EAC with the lame encoder to make split mp3's http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/so you have no need to mount with daemon tools if you would like an excellent tutorial on how to handle/make/convert losless files get this: MeTaLMaDNeSS.Pack.v1.02.-.Tutoriales.Lossless.(APE.&.FLAC)+.Programas.[Spanish.&.English].RARhowever Mp3 versions already exist usually.. just search the mule =P Why BTW would you want Mp3's? they sound terrible... especially if a lossless format is available DxaKrator wrote: | That Orphaned Land cd sounds alot like Sigh from the review...I may check it out..the little woman likes this sort of stuff. |

I think as a tribute to the man John Peel I'll Rar up what i got from him as far as official recordings and release them.....it's the least I can do for a man that gave us such good shit over the years.

Ok.. just listened to Hail_Horror_Hail , I thought it sounded pretty good. But Orphaned Land is a bit heavier.
Part of the Cd in like track 2 I think sounded like it was stolen from Malice Mizer... [ Add all 2 links to your ed2k client ]

Description ripped from here
NINNGHIZHIDDA got a good bit of press for "Demigod" last year, and this is their debut album which deserves every bit as much praise (or more). I find it impossible to believe that this didn't get more of a response when it was released, as this is a first rate album.
The style of this band lies somewhere between Black and Death Metal, combining the technicality and vocal brutality of Death with the atmosphere and evil approach of Black. NINNGHIZHIDDA are all about Satan and worshipping evil, but this is not primitive or crude Black Metal, oh no. Few bands in this genre have the musical chops or the ear for melody that this band has. They never try to impress with speed, but rather with dynamic and complexity. There is plenty of savage riffing here, and lots of devil-spawned screams of wrath, but NINNGHIZHIDDA are very melodic, and even furious tracks like both of the "Of Demons And Witches" parts and the colossal "Baphomet (In The Name Of)" bristle with killer hooks and spellbinding melodies. Rather than try and horrify everyone with their anger, these guys play real devil music, that both assaults and seduces.
Usually Death/Black crossovers mean Black Metal with a heavier production and deeper growling, but here the merging is much more complete and multilayered. NINNGHIZHIDDA have melded the most enjoyable qualities of both genres to produce a sound as addictive as it is unique. If all you want from your Metal is pure raw evil, then this will probably be too melodic for you. But if you favour the more atmospheric kinds of Black Metal then this album will be a revelation. I have to point out that I do not give perfect scores for this kind of music very often, as an album of any kind has to really have something extra special to warrant a 10. Believe me, this album deserves it. "Blasphemy" can be hard to find, but if you can get it, don't hesitate to snap it up. I promise you will not be sorry. (Online October 18, 2003)
