This is one of my favorite Christian Death albums featuring Rozz Williams
it is very dark, dreary, melodic, and mellow. The vocals are all nearly spoken word.

<TD valign=top bgcolor=B8AEA4>GODGORY - Resurrection

GENRE : MELODIC DEATH METAL

Heavy, dark and melancholic - that?s music for a serious man like me. This is the third Godgory album and this time they have managed to do an album that?s solid all the way through. By alternate beautiful whisperings with dick hard mangle a certain dynamics gets produced which makes Resurrection to an musical adventure. The band know their metal - so well that they dare to experiment and go outside the ordinary pattern. There is no lack of competence to do that definitely not. Songs like the titletrack, Crimson snow and waiting for lunacy to find me stretches over a broad register with a common touch of melancholy. Godgory ends their album with the old ACCEPT classic "Princess of the dawn". The band should have all the honour for doing this masterpice song and they also do it in a modern version with growlvocals and various effects. They do it with the dignity, just like this song deserves.

RATED 8,5/10

I got live vids that I have been grabbing and am slowly gonna release them here..It's gonna have to be slow like that since I am sharing alot out right now anyway.Haven't seen one request for that SOB...so should I just take it out of share? You guys don't know what you are missing
The John Peel thing is still gonna get done at least for the metal end of the peel sessions....I just haven't had a whole lot of time recently
I got the new Anaal Nathrakh if anyone wants that one.But I got a shitload of vids like I said just recently...more noteably is GISM which is hard to find on cd let alone on Vid and I got like 4 of those concerts, one of which is more like a horror movie than an actual video..Reminded me of that one Skinny Puppy video that Van Bebber did but way longer.

You guys might want to check out Zaerc's tracker if you don't mind torrents. I've noticed there's a lot of Death Metal posted on there lately. Some of you might be interested in grabbing.

review ripped from :matrix: here

The band returned to the studio for The Rage of Angels, which Williams again opens with a sacrilegious spoken-word piece, "Trust (The Sacred and Unclean)." Except for a jaunty, likable cover of David Bowie's "Panic in Detroit," the album is virtually indistinguishable from The Path of Sorrows: the same melodramatic vocal delivery dwelling on the same lyrical subjects, all set to the same jagged guitar and spooky effects.

See I wanted to post back to this thread with other albums but it got assimilated. Bah. Think you could at least allow me my own thread, which is into a sticky.. I only bump it when I have more albums to post.

Anyways.. I am a bit thrown off by that decision, specially when I am a pro metaller. I don't com here much but I just got the feeling my post wasn't worth while. Thanks..!

I will still post some metal album ed2k links here in this thread but I wanted my own if that wasnt too much to ask since I am metal. Sposed I havent spammed enough here to get the respect from the crew eh.

Anyways, here is a few more metal rarities which I rip myself. I have both Wrathchild America CDs which I bought back in 1989 and other in 1991. They are both out of print and extremely rare. I ripped em @ 224k. Kinda hair metal but still thrashy and extremely talented.

For anyone from Deep Purple to Venom to Death. This is across the board talent for metal. I paid $30 for these 2 cds when they first come out. So if you want to have 2 albums no one else has and help he share click the links.. I will leave em shared for 6 months at least.. help me share em!!

They are already on emule but lower bitrates.. here is the BEST Wrathchild America rips you will ever find unless u know who has the original CDs. Plz lemme know if u have trouble downloading these new releases.

Read the whole story at the bottom!... and no I am not selling anything, I just thought these guys were good for their time in an over-saturated metal market. :beerchug:

Here is the info on their 2 albums from BNR Metal pages :

Here is it: the most overlooked US Power Metal classic in history! It's not rare, so collectors do not care for it a lot. Also it does not look spectacular. It's overseen by many, not even mentioned in the 3 "US Metal" books (where from the quality it should of course be included in the very first issue!). A real tragic case is what we have here. But fortunately you have Forgotten Steel telling you the true force inside "Climbin' the Walls" in detail: The opener and title-track is the only weak, or better, not so strong track on this album. It's a simple Power Metal track with a little weak chorus, so not exactly what we all love so much. But after 4:26 min. it's over and the fury of steel is unleashed! >Hell's Gates< is a mindblowing dark midtempo Power Kut with the fantastic vocals of Brad Divens (sounds like James Hettfield always wanted to but never could...). The first of the alltime-classics that come in a nearly inflationary number of pieces on "Climbin'". The next one directly follows: The fast and crushing >No Deposit, no Return< with great melodies, above all in the refrain. Than comes >Hernia< an instrumental I do not want to dissect here (don't like instrs. at all. Only exception is the one on LIVING DEATH's "Protected from Reality", can't remember the name now). Subsequent >London after Midnight< will bring you to your knees with it's mighty melodylines and real sinister feeling. After this comes the Madman himself, offering you some candy: And I bet you swallow it, although you should know it'll make you loose your mind! A haunting track you can never forget once you heard it! Than follows the ultimate, the crescendo of doom, the swansong of Power Metal: One of the best metal-tracks that I ever had the pleasure to hear, the midtempo based and in the end accelerating >Silent Darkness (Smothered Life)<. The story behind the track deals with the cruel fate of some poor guy who had been buried alive. He hears the people above but they don't care about his screams. So he lays in darkness and the only thing he can do is to swear revenge after death. The lyrics and music harmonize perfect so the created feeling is real intense. This song is nothing less than a Metallians [wet] dream come true! Don't miss it!!! The next track is a not at all greasy ballad, the cover-version of >Time<. Closed is the record by the heroic Power Metal hymn "Day of the Thunder" in a classic way, dealing with the senselessness of war. Hope I could at least wake an interest for WRATHCHILD's first album, go and listen to it and build your own opinion!
The second album was entitled "3-D" and was also a good one, but of course it never reaches the class of "Climbin'". But if seen it can also be recommend for buying if not too expensive. Later WRATHCHILD US changed their name to SOULS AT ZERO and played modern power metal/hardcore style, not interesting anymore with exception of the classic track >Welcome to the 90ies< (that shows the greatness of WRATHCHILD the last time....). Do not confound WRATHCHILD AMERICA with a poser outfit that put out several terrible LPs under the name WRATHCHILD that a true metal warrior should avoid as the devil holy water!
