Fade (2000) by Eugenio Mira
IMDb says: Genre: Fantasy / Horror / Mystery / Sci-Fi / Short

IMDb wrote:
This is a short movie filmed in English despite of being made by a Spanish director. In a corridor which make us remember "The Shine" a man contacts with a peculiar salesman. He offers a sort of machine to help people to bring memories back. Using an aesthetic such as the movies of the French directors Marc Caro & Jean-Pierre Jeunet ( "Delicatessen", "Amelie",...) and with a deliberate purpose of surrealism, this is a must see short film.

I had the same thoughts. I wasn't even sure if they were speaking English at first, and I rewatched it because I thought I missed something. Then I realized it was just f'ed up. :wacky:
