Leichenschmaus is the first Studio-Album by the German techno and electro project of the Munich based DJ and producer Florian Senfter (a.k.a. Zombie Nation and Splank!)] who worked together on his Debut-Album with Emanuel Günther (a.k.a. Mooner). It was released in the beginning of 1999 on DJ Hell\'s label, International DeeJay Gigolo Records.
This first Zombie Nation record contained the song \"Kernkraft 400\", German for \"Atomic Energy 400,\" which is considered one of the most famous songs of electronic dance music. The song featured one of David Whittaker\'s small songs from the 1984 Commodore 64 game Lazy Jones called \"Stardust\". Soon after the first independent release in 1999 the song developed into an underground hit in European clubs, and was licensed to various countries including a more commercial remix version.

Quote:
The record continues Senfter's obsession with analogue equipment and vintage synthesisers, creating a warm low-end that is pushed to the front of the mix. "The whole production including mastering was done at Zombie Studios in Munich," explains Florian. "The sound comes natural(ly), but there are many bits and pieces involved in creating a song. I want to give you a snapshot of what's going on in my studio and how things develop in a Zombie's brain."

Of the fourteen tracks included, only "Forza" and "Worth It" have been previously released, leaving fellow zombies with plenty of fresh gear to get their teeth into.
