Don't know if this one is available as a dvdrip. anyway, I just bought the French DVD. The quality isn't exceptional but better than any vhs rip of course.

I'm very interested in replacing any of those old VCD rips of the nasties. :beerchug:

No idea. The movie runs about 1h20/25.000 fps.

It's probably uncut therefore. The UK pre-cert which I believe was uncut despite the BBFC X certificate at the beginning runs for 80:16 at 25 fps. If Krug or any other pre-cert collector is reading this, I've not got one unfortunately, never even seen an original in fact.

My rip is done. I guess I was too optimistic about it :wacky: As it turns out, the movie runs 01:19:33 and has hardcoded French subs. I wasn't expecting much from that French editor but still that sucks. I had never seen the movie before so to me, it doesn't seem cut as it feature explicit gore and sex.
As for the general quality, here are some screens:

What do you think guys, shall I still put it up on the board then?

Yes please, it's much better than the VCD rip, and the British DVD is cut although I reckon it would get past the BBFC without too much trouble these days. I hope you're not offended by this but the subs are typical of the French DVD industry, I think all the French DVD's I have have non-removable subs on the English soundtrack but none on the French, I assume this is something to do with the movement in France to keep the language pure ie without any English influences. I think I ripped a French DVD without the subs once but that would depend on how the DVD is mastered.

There's a pre-cert -- for a hefty price. :wacky:

No offence taken, I'm rather surprised by what u're sayin here. I have tons of French dvds and this one must be like the 2nd one I have with non-removable subs. Anyway, the dvd of 'Exposé' doesn't even have a French audio track so I supposed that explains in parts its cheap cost.

Yep, probably. Or call it laziness. :wacky:
I'll release the movie some time today then :beerchug:

I stand corrected. Your knowledge of French DVD's is superior to mine, I know this is the case with Last House on the Left and Supervixens, and I vaguely remember reading about others. I shouldn't have made such a generalisation with my limited knowledge.

Alternate Versions for
Exposé (1976)

* The film was slightly cut when first released back in 1975. The recent reissue had almost 1 minute removed. Australian release was uncut

* In 1975 the British Board of Film Censors granted "Expose" an X certificate with cuts for theatrical release. Intervision Home Video issued the film on video a few times, the first being in 1979. Although some tapes of "Expose" were preceded with the BBFC's X certificate, the film was in fact uncut (it is worth noting that Intervision also apparently released it under the alternative title "The House on Straw Hill"). During the video nasty hysteria, "Expose" was listed as number 39 on the Department of Public Prosecutions' list and banned. Odyssey reissued the film on video in 1995 in a cut form and it is this version that was released on DVD in 2002.

* For the U.S. release, the following scenes were cut or shortened to earn an MPAA rating of "R" rather than an "X":

* The first sex scene between Linda and Paul was slightly cut.

* The sex encounter between Paul and Linda at Big Youth's gunpoint was originally more graphic.

* Some shots were cut from the abberrant sex scene between Paul and Suzanne.

* Suzanne's death was slightly trimmed of some bloodflow.
