The reason that wasn't released was because someone already did. Although the released version is 11mb oversized and that version isn't cropped but its not a super high quality movie in the first place:

Its an old autogknot job by the looks, but i really enjoyed the movie when i downloaded that rip and bought the dvd a while bacl

Its the version with the iirc purposely "inaudiable" club scene. The american version is adjusted so you can hear what they are saying, just like the american version of twin peaks had subtitles on the backwards talking bits. I think lynch made it "inaudiable" on purpose, but don't quote me on that. The other DVD i have has DTS, but i think that would push onto a 1/2 DVD anyway.
