standard or director's cut?
I'd probably have taken it either way if it was a larger res / filesize, but since there's a anamorphic director's Cut dvd which is unwatermarked and the res is DVD i'm not sure the gain is there. I've got the director's cut DVD unprocessed on my pc atm.

At 2 1/2hrs +, its probably a 1/2DVDr that's needed, even though its quite dark. i could have sworn blind the ar was 2.35:1 though.

Hmmm dunno. Any specifics in the director's cut to determine if this is or isn't?

Cause if it's not I'd be interested in a DVD rip of it....

If my source is the DC also I could make it larger since I still have the .ts files.

confirmed, its got a bad ar. OAR is 2.35:1

1.80:1 is probably cropped left and right. They do this quite often with hdtv which is why you often see OAR in the filenames on newsgroups for those that aren't cropped :(

Lots of additional scenes, peter jackson cameo, etc.

your version might be this:
Quote:
USA television version replaces the scene of Dammers' head being blown off with him instead being blown back into the chapel doors.

SPOILER: USA Television edits out the scene where Patricia murders her mother.

I wouldn't say wasted though, if its not censored. Do a 1 dvdr xvid, 1080i -> 720p rip. :) I do my own personal copies of movies that way.

Jackson cameo is there, but I couldn't spot the scene of Patricia actually killing here mother :o Damn, I wanna see that 8)

Hmmm I guess it's not the director's version... And it's not the right OAR so I'll be waiting for a good quality DVD rip 8) *goes to delete and save space*

Thanks Spud for the info.. Now to go look for some other HDTV shite that might be worth ripping.... :wacky:
