I've ordered this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000 ... 66-7801263

Here's a review:

http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=12862

Are the Croatian versions uncut? How's the transfer?

94 mins is the first, so shouldn't be cut.

Specs from the DVD video..

Video: MPEG2 Video 720x576 (16:9) 25.00fps 7700Kbps
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 448Kbps

I can also post a screen if you want. :) Or is yours even better?

It hasn't arrived yet. Expecting it later this week.

7700Kbps can't be. You meant to write 1700 right?

Screens would be nice, especially for the other people who might be interested. I'm not really a potential customer for this since I'm gonna rip the DVDs anyway regardless of a release. Or - even watch the DVDs without ripping them. :o

Basically, it seems that the picture is the same as from the Anchor box set you posted...

I'm trying out the first rip at 720x384, should look pretty fine when it's done :D Stay tuned 8)

Cut status on various editions:
http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=537

If they are VCI and english audio, they are probably region wide releases which may very well be censored.

Anchor Bay prints are new transfers. I don't know if the other dvds are anamorphic prints. You'll see that despite what the application tells you, that the content isn't actually interlaced in anamorphic prints and its probably progressive. If yours has borders and / or is interlaced, your probably best off letting Rogue do it from the confirmed uncut new transfers.

I've had the anchor bay box set for ages, its worth buying :)

Is it progressive though? Does it just say interlaced or can you see combed frames?

When you've got an anamorphic dvd, i've found it says interlaced when infact its not.

Progressive obviously means you've got the edge since deinterlacing means loss :(

Yeah, I can see the interlaced lines in the Gknot preview window

Oh well, at least I'll copy the DVD's

I'll see what I can do then. :)

Got 'Return of the Living Dead 3' when I'm through with the second season of Tales from the Crypt. After that I should have the free bandwidth and hopefully some good rips. :)

EDIT: Wow, 666 posts. :)
