Bearing in mind there will probably be a 25th CE sometime this year, would anybody want a AFR FS rip of this movie. and despite what this says. The Reg 1 Warner disc is a single layer disc wich has a note on the box and at the begining of the film to say it has been "formated to fit my TV screen" Its 4:3 , DGIndex says its 4:3 and not widescreen File Name: Poltergeist.1982.FS.DVDRiP.XViD.AC3.DrP.avi Video Codec Type: xvid Video Codec Name: XviD Video Bitrate (kbps): 1427 Frame Width (pixels): 608 Frame Height (pixels): 456 Frames Per Second: 23.976 MPEG-4: MPEG-4 B-VOP: B-VOP QPel: QPel GMC: GMC H264: Audio Codec: 0x2000(AC3, Dolby Laboratories, Inc) AC3 Audio Sample Rate (Hz): 48000 Audio Bitrate(kbps): 384 Audio Bitrate Type: CBR Audio Channel Count (e.g. "2" for stereo): 5 Duration: 01:54:29 Frame Count: 164688 File Size: 1,560,993,792 |

According to this page: http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=2361 both R1 editions of this include 2.35:1 anamorphic and 4:3 versions. Have you, er, checked the other side of the disc? If there is no widescreen version then I'd say hang fire for the re-release, since the image in 4:3 will be cropped on both sides as well as panned & scanned. |
