The first post in a topic is meant to collect all the links together, for simple viewing purposes. Therefore if someone posts some more movies, simply ammend them into your post, thus making it easy for users to browse through the topic and take the films that have been posted.

They don't have to be complete, you simply need to be able to make a start and update it when new rips come along. Hopefully users will help you out and post new links in your thread, which makes it easy to edit them into your post.

Something that's really useful for topics is a clickable index:

RELEASE2

RELEASE3

Here's what the board code looks like:

other stuff you might want:

Code:
[img]URL[/img]

Makes an image

Code:
[list][*]list item 1
[*]list item 2
[*]list item 3[/list]

Makes a list:
  • list item 1
  • list item 2
  • list item 3

Thanks for making a collection, if they are done right they are really useful for everyone and we really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Also remember to keep your first post up2date, takes a while to go through threads with several conversations or many links scattered around.

A good tip is to keep a local copy saved in notepad, this will also act as a backup incase you mess up your topic and need recovery

Criteria for verification:
  • Doesn't have to be complete, but does have to have a good number of links.
  • Has to be navigateable, ie. alphabetical, chronologically. Anything that is out of order needs and alphabetical menu system to help people browse the collection else it is hard to view (see first post)
  • Brief info, imdb link, photos make them look better
  • Specs on films are a good thing ;)

If you think yours is done, or completed to a decent level, pm a mod for verification

Rules & Guidelines

1. You have to oblige to maintain your collection. Only posting it is not enough.
1b. Keep your collection up to date. Read users suggestions and/or given infos and add them to your first post when necessary.

2. The collection has to be in a specific order (e.g. alphabetically or chronically).

3. Don't just copy someone's whole collection and post it elsewhere. Doing collection is a big job. You would be stealing all his hard work and that for sure isn't accetable.

4. Pay respect to the collection-poster. No flaming, no telling how one should handle his collection. Kindly placed suggestions are welcome.

5. Don't request a Collection in a thread of the Collection forum.

6. Your collection shouldn't overlap too much with another existing collection.

7. Try not to post requests and reshare-questions in the collections-threads. We have specific sections for that.

8. Post any questions you have regarding the collection-section in this thread (no requests).

Why my collection has been locked/deleted/moved ?

Collections that haven't been updated in three (3) months, have been re-done ("propered") or the creator of collection has stated he has no interest/intetions to keep updating it anymore, will be LOCKED or moved to Dead-Movies Section.

IF the creator of collection decides later that he would like to start working again with the collection, he would just have to PM one of the mods and collection will be UNLOCKED/Moved back to In Progess section.

Collections that have been PROPERED and as so, have become obsolete, will be deleted in short time.

These new rules are to remind collection creators to keep updating their collection(s) and to make it easier to someone other to start a new collection about the subject.

To post fhc files, open with FHCB and export as html. Then open with Notepad and copy paste the text into the post. Done!
