tells of four young friends who perform a heroic act ? and are changed forever by the uncanny powers they gain in return. Years later the friends, now men, are on a hunting trip in the Maine woods when they are overtaken by a blizzard, a vicious storm in which something much more ominous moves... Challenged to stop an alien force, the friends must first prevent the slaughter of innocent civilians by a military vigilante, then overcome a threat to the bond between them. In the end, the friends confront an unparalleled horror, with the fate of the world in the balance. Morgan Freeman and Tom Sizemore star as military officers. Thomas Jane, Jason Lee, Damian Lewis, and Timothy Olyphant will play the four friends, with Donnie Wahlberg as the mysterious figure at the center of their circle.

You forgot all the good ones!

Stand by Me (not horror, but very good)
Shawshank Redemption (all chicks love this movie)
Apt Pupil

All those are from the same book of short stories called 'Different Seasons'. It actually contains 4 stories and I think they're making a movie of the last one now.. don't remember the name but it was about a woman giving birth.

Nightshift Collection (3 shorts, the last one is very good)
Cat People (didn't write but was an actor, together with Clive Barker)
The Green Mile (I hated this)

I know there are more...

X-Files [5x10] - Chinga [350]-[AC3]-[AMC].ShareReactor.avi

They X-files episode writen by King. Its a lot better then most of his films.
Coincidenttly, chinga is spanish for 'fuck', so the alternate title is 'bung honey'.

I dont think the doll actually kills anybody, but a shitload of people die. People stabbin themselves thru the eyeballs with steak knives. Its not a big file, and well worth the download(i think).

just saw dreamcatcher.
It was ok, good enough/not the best. Seems stick with the same old king cliches, group of kids with psychic powers(except they are grown ups now), an evil entity throwing out snappy remarks, and another human that goes insane and ends up helping mr bad guy. If this movie wasnt made by king, then the makers of it would probably have been sued for ripping off 'it'.

king sure likes to stick to a patern.

I was expecting a horror, so readin the book I was actually surprised it was a classical sci-fi. I've seen fragments of the flick and it seems to be pretty faithful to the book. So I guess it's ok.

They always have to tone down on the violence in a King movie, compared to the book. I haven't seen or read this one, but King sure is THE king of Exaggeration!

eh, i dont think any of the vcd/theatre caps are very good. They are just 'watchable', and I have pretty low standards on quality.

i think most of king's work doesnt translate well into a viewable format. He uses a lot of backstory/flashback/ and in-depth descriptions that sometimes just isnt filmable.
most of the films made from his work are just plain sub-par. If they didnt say 'based on a novel by steven king' they probably wouldnt get theatrical release.
