Well it looks like they're not going to unmoderate it at all. I'm wondering if it's not because it's been edited by Chadman. When you go to upload a workprint torrent there it says this...

Image

But i've been posting there for over a year now and i still can't figure out there moderating criteria. But that's the only thing i can think of for this one. They'll only allow it if it's been unedited.

I wondered why demand was quite low, has it still not appeared on SN yet then? I can't even get SN to load for me once yet again.

I'm not sure what you mean? I certainly didn't mess with the timing. At this point, I'd guess its your mind, but maybe if you clarify, I can see what you mean...

edit? Its shorter, if that's what you mean, because of the deleted scene and the place holders that I removed.

Just checked it out...

When I read your post 'added music by everyone's favorite horror band' I thought, 'OH NO... Not some stupid metal band' but when I heard what you'd done I immediatly smiled. It really bings back that old horror movie feeling... Think that was just about the only 'band' you could've gotten away with... =)

My orignals are fine. Maybe something happened in the encoding. Well, let me see, the original was 24 fps., Premiere won't output that, sot it came out 29.97, then back to 24. Its LQ, so what can you do. Shouldn't be slow, though. Weird. I haven't got this xvid, soi I can't say.

hmmm this is playing in slow motion here too...

You shouldn't really up the fps to 29.9fps artificially, you'll get problems and the quality will be reduced a lot... but that doesn't explain why when the rip corrected this it plays in slow motion.
I've only ever used CCE (with an avs) to encode mpeg2 myself and that does it flawlessly and at the correct fps.

However, there's definitely something wrong with this xvid... was it checked before releasing guys? or are you using some weird ass codec or something?

Looking at the specs too:
Code:
--- File Information ---
File Name:            Samhain(2004).Chadman.Edit.Xvid.AC3=STR=.avi
File Size:            734,146,560 bytes

--- Video Information ---
Video Codec Name:     XviD
Duration:             01:22:42
Video Bitrate:        953kb/s
Bits / Pixel:         0.186
Resolution:           608x352
Aspect Ratio:         1.73 / [19:11]
Frames Per Second:    23.976

--- Advanced ---
B-VOP:                B-VOP
QPel:                 No QPel
GMC:                  No GMC

--- Audio Information ---
No of Audio Streams:  1
Audio Codec:          0x2000(AC3, Dolby Laboratories, Inc) AC3
Audio Bitrate:        224kb/s CBR 48000 Hz
Audio Channel Count:  2
Interleave:           42ms
Preload:              512ms
Audio alignment:      Split

That's bad interleaving for ac3, you should never interleave at anything other than 64 or 96ms when doing AC3. Using gknot will prevent mistakes like this. Since this is done at 42ms, that means sync problems:
Code:
Audio alignment:      Split

Heh, this is exactly what comes out of my GK with every rip. 42ms. It doesn't matter what settings I enter. And it's exactly the same when I do it manually with VDub or NanDub. I check the file and GSpot always says it's 42ms. I've just noticed this. Made a few tests and the outcome is always the same. Any idea how to solve this problem?

BTW, I checked a few rips by release groups and well-known rippers, many of them (~60%) have the same interleaving. Audio: split across interleaves. And I've never had any sync issues with any of those rips.

there's no sync issue on this either.
