After escaping an asylum in Normandy, convicted serial killer Jaques Sykes is on the hunt again under the guise of his latest victim. The same day, a group of students arrive in the region to party at a remote cottage, ignorant to the massive manhunt ensuing. As night falls, the party is interrupted as a police officer warns them of the danger that surrounds them. They decide to ignore the warning... but ignorance kills!

Different sizes because I took screen grabs with VirtualDub so I cut and paste really. The AR is 2.35:1

i've never known v/dub to give an incorrect AR taking screengrabs before?

Can you enlighten us to what codec was used and how come the rip is only 630mb and not closer to 700mb please

I took PRT SCREEN on VirtualDub and then cut out the picture okay? Whoever gives a damn if the pictures are perfect as long as they are screen grabs from the rip right?

The movie was encoded with 1-pass instead of 2-pass because in the beginning, quantity is very important to us to get started quickly.

they where only a few polite questions to clarify the quality of the rip since it IS an important factor to whether people will download this or not :wink:

generally releasers will post specs of there rips using Gspot and info can be found about how to use it in this thread if that is done then my simple questions and others alike may not be asked

Should this be moved to LQ then?

IMHO it looks overcropped, and a 1 pass rip @ 630Mb doesn't bode well.

now as i stated they where a few simple questions that was regarding the quality of a rip there's no need to take it to heart,anyone or any group would have got the same questions regarding quality as thats what it's all about

now having said that i would like to show you this thread showing a LOT of GoRiE rips that made the grade and where also available via the means you said BUT they all made it to ed2k and Dead-Donkey

There are RULES about scene rips, and these rips are not even close. Out of interest, is thie GORiE the original line up of rippers?

You have to understand the reason people ask the questions, is that they are looking for the best rips possible, If GORiE are back on the scene to stay, they will have to devlop a thicker skin than you've displayed here.

No offence was intended, I merely asked a question about the rip and for re-assurances that it was the HQ rip it purported to be, sorry you too offence at a simple question.

GORiE has never been and will never be an "official" scene group. We provide horror movies from all over the world first and, well, it sucks that you guys only have complaints. If people can watch cams, I'm sure people can watch 1-pass dvdrips as well =) No offence taken but if you don't appreciate us taking time to rip rare horror movies, then why should we spread them here :lol:

People can and do watch cams, I'm not one of them. You put these rips in the high quality section though which creates a certain expectation as to the quality of the rips, because ON THE FACE of it the rips you have provided don't "fit the norm" for this section, you (understandably) were asked a couple of questions about the rips.

No one has been "horrible", you've just been asked a couple of questions which you chose to ignore and to take offence at. The rips are still in the HQ section until they are proven to be LQ or will stay here if they are HQ. Nobody has said they ARE low quality, all that has happened is that you were asked a few questions to TRY and ascertain the quality BEFORE downloading 630 Mb, is that really a problem??

Sure people can watch 1-pass dvdrips, but we rather see a 2-pass.
Sure people can watch two 88 year old lesbians getting it on, but we rather see 19 year olds. Or well, most of us probably.
