Anyway, i was thinking, is there any interest in adding a kind of blogging section where members can have a blog associated with their forum account. The difference from other blogging places being that
a) its for this community of like minded people
b) allows for unrestricted rantings
c) allows for reviews of horror movies, or whatever's pissing you off
d) allows for supporting ed2k links for your posts, and integration into the site for cross referencing (ie. ranting about a movie can cross link to its record).

Because its a blog its all your stuff with comments clumped together.

I dunno if there's any interest for that kind of stuff?

Anyway, from the original list, the remaining items are:
* Games and TV sections for the frontpage

which i put on hold between the old site design and the new. I think taking posts from the forum like with the frontpage might not be best, but an itemised episode and overall clumping together of episodes into a series might work best (if i can figure out a smart way of doing collections i might be able to reuse the code)

* Reviews Section

Never got round to this, but the blog thing might be a counter balance. Any movie that is referenced in a blog can be matched with the particular entries in lots of peoples blogs, so you have a big collection of rants for movies :lol:

and if you like a particular rant you can carry on and look at the blog futher

* Collections feature, where you can select entries in the movies database and link them together in a collections page.

Just needs doing.

* Horror on TV system... a TV guide for horror on the box.

Unfortunately my subscription to the tv app i was using that had the horror / scifi filters on ran out so that's been shelved.

Hell yeah!! Although i don't know about the Horror on TV system because i think i'm better off not knowing what the hell i am missing on the dutch tv compaired to for example the britisch.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, if so forget I mentioned it.

The header block on hhah has a problem with apostrophes.
It shows a question mark instead.

just a summary, not really allow you to read the stuff since clicking through goes to normal pages. Unfortunately phpbb doesn't have a "lite" version like invision, maybe if i strip the logo from the archive?

I think it will redirect all the major mini-browsers to the right page. On top of that, the next change is that when you click a news article, it will no longer have the side bar and header, so it shouldn't have a horizontal scroll.

Looks very nice spud. I've just had a quick flick around and took some screens. This was on an Ipaq 4700 over BT to my PC.

There is a very slight horizontal scroll, but I didn't even notice at first until I reread your post.

Root redirect works perfectly btw.

btw, sorry if i shouldn't be posting pics in this thread, but thought they may show what it's like from another POV. Oh yeah and titties in the third pic :roll:

Looks like its the image resizing javascript. To be honest i would have though that would cause a horizontal scrollbar and the images would be fullsize, looks like they aren't. That's a surprise :lol:

I'll add some javascript or something when i have chance :lol:

Unfortunately the forums would require far too much modification to get it to display without scroll bars and stuff. But i haven't tried the archive yet.

That's a much lighter non-interactive version of the forums so it might be able to pull off resizability if i remove the logo and stuff.

Currently working on the long overdue, return of the poll (!!) and the blogs.
@killingjokezzz, I think that's IEs doing, the scrolly-jig, since its ie that's resizing the images.
