Where's the .NZB n :wacky: :wacky: b guide ?

No really what's the best client for it ?

Tried my hand at newsgroups some time back (my isp has 2 kickass free servers ) but it was too much a mess for my liking sorting all of it ....

Now , with these NZB's I've reading much lately ....heh heh

In fairness newsgroup access is a service that has always been paid for.

If you don't want to pay, don't use NZb's, use your ISPs servers (assuming they have some) or use one of the numerous, but extremely crappy, free usenet servers :

Lists here : http://freeusenetnews.com/newspage.html?sortby=votes
http://www.newsservers.net/free_news_servers/

http://theone.ru/news.html

http://tools.rosinstrument.com/proxy/news.htm

I haven't checked all these links, but the top on edefinately works, bear in mind most free usenet servers are text groups only (no binaries).

Yup, if your isp doesn't carry them you have to pay.

I don't pay for newsgroups myself, i suspect there's a great number in the same boat, but i also know if your isp doesn't have them you pay if you want them. There's a hell of a lot of bandwidth involved, that's where the money comes in. Its very good though, i'm still considering paying $20 for better retention. Probably will wait for an isp switch though (the isp i'm switching to i don't think carry newsgroups)
