Just for clarification me or any of the mods do not go into profiles unless explicitly asked to do so, so if you find you can't login its likely that you have not clicked the activation link in your email. This link must be clicked and you must have a valid address in your account solely for this reason.

The most common occurance is that you have a misconfigured spam filter that has identified the auto-generated message as spam and it is in the spam folder.

If you change something in your profile that requires reactivaiton (usually this is just an email change), you must reactivate by going to that same email address and clicking the link. Or if you request your password using the link, you must complete the instructions in the email.

This is the number one reason for failed registrations, there's a lot of new users that have not yet activated their accounts. You must do this. There should be some text telling you that you will need to reactivate if it is the case, so check your emails.

You can contact a member of the mod/admin teams by simply clicking one of the contact links at the bottom of their posts. My msn and aim are listed there, so you can contact people without being registered with little effort.

Only an admin can actually go into an account and change it, but people will be able to pass on information for this to be done; and this is only related to signatures, usernames, avatars and to activate, we can't recover passwords, etc. If you want to change your username, please state your reason for doing so. We'll do it, but its not something we like doing since we try and keep it a community and its hard if people are free to change their names :) So remember your password, and if you change your email, you will be required to reactivate your account so make sure its valid. I would not recommend hotmail since this is a very ropey service and they deactivate emails that are not regularly checked. Try yahoo.com or gmail.com :)
