Signature size.

I've noticed some sigs are getting rather large (both kb and size). Currently there is a rule that sigs should be small and avatars less than 150 pixels. 150 is a tad too much for a signature though.

I have from time to time gone into user profiles and either removed text that have bumped the sigs over 150 pixels. On smaller resolutions this makes browsing annoying to get over the signatures to get to the content. This is especially worse on threads with multiple posts with big sigs.

So are there any objects to enforcing a 150x rule, and even bumping it down to 120x?

I agree that some sigs are bigger than the posts & have followed your advice & kept my sig on other sites to the size you recommended. A smaller sig doesnt make them unreadable so I say go for it

Well i'd say mine is about as big as they should be, and even then i'd suspect it might get blocks :lol:

Its got to the point where i'm either adblocking or changing profiles so i thought i'd post.

I reduced my avatar to 120x120, plus the signature to 150px in height and removed the unnecessary accompanying text explanation.

Any chance you could loose/shrink the image or loose the text? :beerchug:

I don't care. Adblock works with 120x as good as with 150x sigs.

Well see one thing I liked about dead-donkey (not that theres anything else to like

) are the huge long sigs that you can put links into. I say keep the text length (its frigging text fer christsmistakes) but yeah big images (when they aren't mine) are very annoying. Like FTi member's stuff, huge distracting animations acomplishing nothing but fanfare. That sucks. I have a big minotaur I mean monitor so the proportions look fine, its just unnessecary. No one here has one of those IMO.

But Yeah I can put a smaller long thin p.. sbig userbar, no one has ever complained as far as I know. Adblock tehe. :moon:
