Many forums don't treat a movie and it's sequels as a collection. They just go to DVD-rips or LQ sections. Since we're having more and more collections here which consist just of some movie and its 2 or 3 sequels, my question is: shouldn't we treat them as single releases? There's a huge difference between them and collections that consist of all movies by the same director or thematic collections.

I think is really depends on how many sequels/remakes.

Friday the 13th = good collection
Ring = good collection
Any movie with maybe only 2 or 3 sequels just isn't as needed.

Perhaps just a minimum number of movies for a collection. Having everything in one spot is always great.

Yes, but you can have everything gathered together in Collections or, say, in DVD-rips. It is more difficult when the gathered movies have different quality though...

if it was up to me,
and this is the way i set up my e.movie manager mod access tables,
combining a movie with less then- say 5 sequals- with the others of its genre would be a way to go, like the 'from dusk till dawns' with john carpenters 'vampires' vampires los muertos, "the Yosamete Sam Shoot 'em Up Vampire killerz' collection.

ones like 'the evil dead' trillogy could have thier own collections, simply because part 3 has so many different release versions. what is 'army of darkness' official re-releases up to ? 10 or so?

I would give each big name director thier own collection.
