I think we are reaching the end of our tether with our existing host. Whilst they provide security, they do not support a level of service that I find acceptable for this site and the level of downtime and the shoddy speed and configuration is just below bar.

I am requesting that any offers for hosting, or any information of safe, fast, secure hosting be sent to me via pm.

I fear that continuing with this host will frustrate users, reduce service and harm this community and ultimately we can't allow that.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you offer or no of an offer of hosting.

If we choose to move servers there will probably be a brief interruption to service due to DNS updates (i'll post forewarning with a hosts file entry if this is the case).


I sent out a blanket email to our current host's addresses and finally got a response. Ultimately it was he didn't see a problem with his site on this box which I don't quite think is true (or his site is static content and has sleep(500000) in the code ).
