I've activated a bright theme for those with viewing difficulties, you change it under your profile under board preferences.

Very impressive on paper and judging by the quality of lenovo's i think its a sure fire winner.

added the mail issue to the known issues section, i'm not getting mails from the frontpage reporting hack attempts so i think its an issue with mail(). Reported to the host and lets see what they say they can find in the sendmail logs

1) You haven't removed the hosts file entries for the old host as requested:
Quote:
Please remember to remove these in a couple of days!!!! Otherwise if we change ip you may not be able to get onto dead-donkey.com!

2) Your isp hasn't updated its nameservers, in which case you need hosts file entries:
Code:
124.217.243.51  www.dead-donkey.com
124.217.243.51  dead-donkey.com
124.217.243.51  forum.dead-donkey.com
124.217.243.51  scifi.dead-donkey.com

Then remove the host files entries after a few days

I suspect you just haven't done 1)

Irrespective, its not a phpbb3 bug ;)

Seems like the update to phpBB 3.0.1 "messed up" the login form. It is not centered anymore. Instead the alignment looks like it is set to left-aligned.
Looks a bit ugly IMHO.

EDIT: There are also a few "new" smiles that are badly cropped. There are white pixels at the edges. Like this one ->

I wondered why they'd changed the smilies... sounds like they screwed them up rather than fixed them. I'll roll those back, as well as the login screen.

usually they don't prat around with cosmetics like they did do here, not impressed by the update quality... its usually a lot better :outsider: Then again i suppose its patch 1.

Several smilies are lost, including the one in RV's example.

Removing the old smiles caused a bit of a stylesheet issue. The height for the image tags of those smiles is set to "17" instead of "15". Therefore they are a bit stretched vertically resulting in a pixely look.

Slayer is right. The following two smilies seem to got lost durring rollback:
/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif

EDIT: I misspelled "smilies" :wacky:

the smilies dissappearing was me attempting to upload them at work, and my works internet connection being an utter disgrace (and they block ssh, and most external ftp).

I'm home now, so the smilies are an easy fix; reupload the old ones from the last revision i checked into subversion.
Not happy they updated the smilies as part of the patch, I am very dissapointed with the quality of the upgrade.

The 'size' of the avatars is somewhat of a bug in phpbb, if you change the gif it seems to retain the size of the maximum smiley so its got the size of the previous ones stored in the database.

Well done, the smilies are back again! :D
But it seems like you forgot about the login form. It is still left aligned.

i actually tried a really quick fix for that at work yesterday but it refused to center.

Haven't forgotten about it. just got home now, and need to get some tea... will try and squeeze it in before the pub :)

I had a little spare time at work and looked at the stylesheet data of the login page. There are two things to change to get the desired (centered) look:

1.) Add align="center" to the table header that contains the text "Login"
2.) Remove the width="100%" from the table that contains the "username" and "password" input fields

Voila! Should look good now.

Really, that is a problem... usually indicates one of the following:
  • Time issue, there's an issue with the system clock which would mean the problem isn't just isolated to you.
  • There's a problem with your cookies; in firefox go to tools>Clear Private Data and select cookies and cache . You can also use this link to delete the cookies:
    ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies
  • You can use this link to mark everything as read:
    index.php?mark=forums

I personally haven't experienced any marking as read issues so i'm guessing this is a caching/cookie problem that you can fix with steps two and three.
