SuperMods should be displayed to all at the bottom as they serve an important role & is hidden. :shadey:

Greetings, Spud! Has anyone reported any search engine bugs, yet?
I ask because I've been trying to search for films for days now, but always and only get the "You have attempted too many searches. Please wait 30 seconds before searching again." message every time, even when I wait an hour or more between searches. Please help?
Thanks!

Great ain't it! That's one of the best things about phpbb3... they finally fixed it  You should be able to log in from any machine now and not have it erroneously effect the topic tracking system.

That was a huge bug in phpbb2, its not a bug in phpbb3 that it doesn't mark things as read at random; you aren't supposed to loose the fact you've not read a topic, that prevented people changing browsers/pcs/etc ;)

If you want to mark all as read, you have to tell it you want to mark all as read as you would have had to do in phpbb2 if not for the bug:
http://forum.dead-donkey.com/index.php

On the index, in the top right there's a link that says "mark forums read"

ps. i can't believe you've just reported a major bug fix as a bug

Well it seemed like a bug to me, when i log on i just want to read the topics that i wanted. I expected to log out and log in later and start from the new posts that have been made since i last logged in.
I'll just click mark all forums read before i log out now.

As if my life isn't busy enough, another 0.00000042 secs wasted

Have to raise it there, its not a bug... its a bugfix for a bug you for whatever reason liked.

I use a lot of different machines so its a god send for me, i used to miss loads of topics and it was a major gripe of mine :)

I had no idea! I've always had to be very careful not to shut my browser window, or log out by mistake. Happy days...

Regarding the emails:

Everything that needed to be done has been done. You just need to wait for a maximum of 2 more days until it is resolved.

Can I ask that users please report if / when they get mail through?

Something else: after reading the "The Creepshow" thread, the forum refused to mark it as read, even after repeated opening and closing it. Only when I clicked "Mark topics as read", it did the job.

I noticed earlier that a search site no longer displays results from the highest quality section. :shadey:
