Yeah good to know. I think you should make this sticky so that we can easily find the link to the transforming script and your description of it. :beerchug:

cheers; I mean I can run it in one go but it will take hours and suck down loads of bandwidth off that slow shitty image shack site in one go. :)

Hmmm... That is not good. Maybe they figure out where the "leeching" is from and block the IP of the server totally. That would be real bad. :?

I usually use photobucket, but they have a hang up on what they consider porn too.

Got an easy way to fix imageshaft posts, if you've made a stupid mistake and uploaded your images there and posted at another site:
spudthedestroyer wrote:
Posting a thread with image shack images

If you are posting a thread that you've created at another site but have image shack images (please reconsider doing this, as you can see from this thread, they are anything but stable), you can use this simple process to relocate the images.

  • Navigate to http://images.dead-donkey.com/transload/transload.php
  • Paste the post / text into the box and hit transload
  • After a minute or so you will see a lot of status text similar to the above. At the top of the page is a link that says "click here". Click the link
  • The post will now be in the text box, select all of this and post as normal. All image shack links should have been removed.

This is a simple transloading process, but this will utilise bandwidth on dead-donkey.com . It is highly, highly recommended that you simple do not use image shack at all! They have strict censorship policies.

Thanks for helping the site out :drunk:

That will save the manual task of relocating your images, if you simply paste the text into the box and then hit transload, your processed thread will pop out.

Tinypic banned me for posting gore screenies & imageshuck is banned from here.

Slayer pointed me to the above list, but could someone reccomend one thats not going to have a fit & ban me again for the same thing please?

As they banned me, all the screenies for the GK guide got zapped as well, although I have these kept on HDD. Could these ones be stored on DD server somehow?

There ain't no "edit" button missing. You could post the pictures on www.photobucket.com, since I've been there, they have not removed any of my images and didn't ban me either.

Lucky for you. I've not used photobucket for ages as they kept removing my screencaps. :P

Photobucket removes images when they are quite bloody or gory. As you post lots of images of that kind, I would not suggest photobucket to you. :)

I already thought about that. Unfortunately I have no idea how you could prevent abuse.
