... that has:
php (has to be latest version)
allows remote linking
a decent amount of space.

This is to upload a script to allow people to upload files. ie. image dump.

If anyone knows a url to a similar exist page, please post here so i can see who they are hosted with.

Thanks,
Spud.dupS

I've tried but the code doesn't work. I don't think the php they are using supports the upload features.

@polytik, not really. Not for image hosting. Their php is a bit ropey but that doesn't really matter. All I got is one page, with the ability to upload files. Was requested a few times so i always try to try out new suggestions to see if they work for the site.

edit: hmm seems I entered the wrong path /uploads/ instead of ./uploads/

We now have an temp image hosting/dump site. Please report errors here.

And would you be so kind as to tell me what the rules for posting images are?

Actually, it's too late. Testing the first image.

EDIT: It works, it works! This board is becoming better and better.

No rules really, you are limited to jpeg, jpg and gif. There's a no pr0n rule so I guess that's out.

Can be used for avatars and sigs that fit the guidelines, and I hope it means more people can post screenshots. They always help :)

I'll have to edit the php for that, perhaps register another site at lycos? One for images, one for subs and nfo. Hell there could be one for DVD covers too. I've limited the filesize on that to 500kb too.

What do people want, a seperate for DVD covers, one for nfos and subs, or all in one?

Hm.. I think all in one would be best way to go.

okay nfos work too, subs not at the moment.

The reason is because they are many different mime types and are often over 500kb. I'll have to register another lycos account for them.

lol@ the fat guy uploaded

okay I've edited the php quite a bit now, still no rar/zip but that's very easy to add in a tick.

There are now error checks:
ie if file exists --> err message, etc.

and also a very convient print statement, which parses the filename into board code so you just need to copy and paste now :)

Then you must be a IE user? We can just tell when an IE user enters the room

I checked and the same thing happens, which is very wrong because the code conforms to php standards

For the time being it will appear blank for people using crap browsers, but i will fix the problem for m$ users tonight or most likely tomorrow :)

On a side note I really recommend opera, it is the best browse out there. Tabbed browsing is a god send, the side bar is a great convience and the customability is top rate. Mozilla is none flashy and has tabbed browsing. Both display HTML correctly under 99% of the circumstances. 1% theres a bug. Any other time is because html isnt standard. The added bonus would also be an increase in speed when browsing.

I'm still happy someone convinced me to try some other browsers.

It's not like I haven't tried other browsers, I've used Opera, Firebird and Mozilla.

Maybe, when the google toolbar is release fro them then MAYBE I'll try again, till then, not a chance :(

erm google bar? what does that do? If you mean google search integrated into the GUI, it has been in both for decades. Opera has about 13 different searches built in.

lol, where the hell do you think they stole the idea from? It was stolen from opera. Form fill in is standard, google search has been there since version 2 or something released several years ago and popup blocker is standard for both (and better in opera than any other implemention i've seen).

Seriously, the googlebar features have been intergrated into the GUI for before the googlebar plugin existed, with the added bonus it doesn't require anymore ram. :o
