I'd very much like it if people would always include the year in both topic and filename. would make it a hell of a lot easier to know which version you're dealing with as well as simpler to add in EMM as I always include the (year) after the title.

in some extreme cases I've had to start watching the opening credits for names and then search on imdb to find the right one...

could this be added to each sticky 'release rules & guidelines' post?

Yeah, me too, although in fairness most posts are now in that format.

ahem, actually... me raises his hand. I've been editing all of the topic titles in the movie forums to include Movie Title (Year). I hope no one minds, just looks a lot neater done that year. I've also dumped though Blah.Me.L33t.1999.Internal.nuke.avi topic titles cos they seem to have bloat rather than what should really be a simple topic title.

As for the filenames, I like the idea and agree its more helpful, but I don't think I should put anything about what people should do with their filenames in the rules. Maybe a guideline saying its more helpful though?

Ah, that explains why it's always in the topic :)

Cheers Spud, it's appreciated as it does make life easier.
