So do we need a different username and password, or just the password?

@ohgo, you haven't registered yet... that is unless you have used another username :)

@ MCM, you haven't clicked the activation link in your e-mail, hence why the inability to login. I can see you are awaiting activation of your account, so check your yahoo mail account. Check your e-mail, click the activate account link and login. If you have not received one or your e-mail is dead, I can easily activate myself, but its best to sort out the e-mail deal, else I end up getting tons of dead mail in my mailbox from invalid email accounts.

The only other person that should not be able to login and get the same message is jensus, as he is awaiting activation too.

Everyone else is either not registered or using incorrect details.

oh and for anyone else, who is registered... and does appear on the memberlist:
http://scifi.dead-donkey.com/memberlist.php

@emporer, you have activated your account and should be able to logon as far as I can tell, I'm assuming you hadn't verified before? Or can you still not login?

If anyone has any problems please message here and it will be sorted asap :)

Spud, I was a bit suprised to get to the Dead-donkey homepage when I clicked the "scifi.dead-donkey" logo, wouldn't it make more sense to go back to the root of the (sci-fi) forum on clicking this logo?

hmmm, what would be the point in two help sections? Its alluding me.

I could possibly see a need for another site development, but this is really just an ask the admin/report bugs/site related forum.

I see no need for actually creating another hardware and software, its just there as a bonus rather than not at all :)

suggestions welcome.
Ps. logo goes to forum root

I agree, the shared forums section could be very confusing for new (non-HHAH) members.

surely there should be a seperate site help and development for the sci-fi forum as as much as both are run by you they are still both seperate forums that may have seperate issues to one another?

but that means twice as many forums for me to check for the same matters. Nothing beyond a sticky in general should really be necessary for scifi specific suggestions if absolutely necessacary?

What happens if there's a mysql timeout, that could mean two threads about identical matters. Every problem will regard all sites as they are all situated on the same place, the only difference will be template specific bugs and requests for features on that board, and that can be handled easily in one sticky topic.

Whereas error reporting and serious problems I would rather be handled in one section (to be honest i'd prefer it all here).

If its a matter of registering here, then I can maybe turn guest posting on for this section?

I think it's a good idea to have it all here. Perhaps we could delete those sections off the scifi board then, leaving the info saying that all problems can be reported and discussed here etc. It would be less confusing than linking HHAH sections directly to the scifi's index page.

i deleted the unnessecary one and reduced the fontsize to reduce the emphasis. I think its pretty obvious something unnatural (or actual, by the way the desc. says its another site) is going to happen if you click those links or am I presuming too much?

@poly, i assume your meaning some kind of sticky system? Never works, you know no1 ever reads those things despite our best efforts
