because screeners are by there very nature poorer quality, quick fixes before retail versions come out. The idea of the screener section is its crap and they'll be dead when the retail comes about. Only get them if you are willing to waste your bandwidth.

Were you only hoping for dvdrips for that section then? |
Well the idea was rare and quality rips. Retail and hard to get classics, the same emphasis we have on the other sections. The screener section is just a half way house to keep that crap out of the proper sections, for those that were around when it was made.
With preview material you have a choice, and if you choose crap, then its because your unwilling to wait. With vhsrips, its because you've really got no other choice, etc.
For those that understand how the 'scene' works, dvdscr are just preview material, they aren't well authored, they are infact meant for retail companies to decide whether or not to stock/distrubute the movie, nor are they meant to be alive when a retail rip comes along. They are meant for the people who can't be bothered waiting for a decent copy.
I mean black and white scenes and screener messages every 2 minutes? No screener torrents would be the ideal solution, just append them to an existing screener thread if someone has posted the ed2k, otherwise don't bother.
If its a clean dvdscreener or a workprint, maybe allow them, but otherwise I really would hate that kind of crap posted here, just for the sake of impatience for a decent verison.
I noticed many sites say "no movies that aren't available on dvd" or something, and in case your wondering, i don't give a crap about that, its more of "just wait five minutes for a decent copy, don't fill this site up with crap".
ps. and if you post a screener, its always a good idea to tell people how f*cked up it is (ie. b/w scenes, messages, watermarks, etc.)
