Post subject: | High Quality Wireless Accesspoint\Router |
Does one exist, basically my setup needs either an access point that supports b and g (at the same time), or a router with ports and wireless features? If its a router it will need: a) high connection capability (thousands) b) ADSL, future proof formats too is a goal c) In built and detailed stats and as many traffic control features as possible d) Decent range e) emule+bt compatability Anyone seen a router up to nick? Will probably need to take a battering, two emules going at worst, but normally emule and BT 24/7. There'll be 2 or 3 g wireless laptops, a b PDA, and then four ports which go to 2 machines and 2 hubs (each hub has 2+ machines at a given time). That's a fair whack of devices it will have to be providing service for so high connection is needed. Does something like this exist or is it a fever dream of a madman? I haven't bought a router in years, and never owned any wireless devices until now. |

I just bought a bogstandard wireless access point in the end: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products ... _uid=46057 Didn't see much point buying a new router. |

Arrived today. Sweet bit of kit, reviews were pretty much on the mark. Had to connect upto my laptop, do a bit of configuring, set my router to give its MAC a static address. Turned on some security and bob's your uncle. Get full strength single all round the house, i'd go outside, but I can only emerge under cover of darkness |
