I'm still using SVP, is there anyone else I should be aware of? I'm about to put in a fairly big order, and I want to pay as little as possible |

nope, http://www.121cdr.co.uk is pretty much the cheapest. Even when it comes to the hardware they sell they are generally cheaper than anywhere else. Shame the delivery companies are all ar-tards and kick the shit out of any parcel you get. |

Found : http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/shop/home.php Who are marginally cheaper, some of their stuff is significantly cheaper, I could save £4 on 200 blank dvds AND they have the stupidly cheap epson carts still (unlike SVP) Anyone had any experience with them? |

I remember reading about them and it was not favourable, can't find it but google had some complaints: http://www.ciao.co.uk/UKDVDR__6376393 http://computing.kelkoo.co.uk/ctl/do/ma ... ws~6174423 But other say they are ok. I guess there's people who have a bad experience with everything Anyway, what particular discs, dye/brand do you get? +r, -r? |

-r printables cheapest possible from svp : http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=147 same disks from UKDVDR : http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/shop/Rivision-1 ... 17693.html The only reason my order is more this time is buy 20xdvd+r DL in readyness for the xbox360 hack, they're STUPIDLY expensive I think I'll end up sticking with SVP, they've always been superb, I'll just wait for one of their coupons : http://www.ciao.co.uk/SVP_Communications__6393307 |

whatever works for you works for you, i'm just very sceptical that you can copy the stuff back to your hdd if you've got some three year old stuff using. But i'm sceptical of everything CMC suck ass, i don't care what you say they are terrible discs for me, particularly the -r variant, but then cdfreaks peeps say that its because batches vary wildly in their quality. I guess i've been very unlucky, because all the CMC media i've got have been utter shite. So much so that i sent some back in fact. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=78606 Look for a brand that performs well on your burner is the best advice: http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76 Burners are one variable, firmware is another, and brand is the last. |

Anything by Datawrite with a Ritek G04 or 5 dye has always worked flawlessly for me. I'd always stick with SVP, simply because their customer service is superb. |

A lot of people don't rate g05 very highly at all. I'm guess you've got a pioneer though if it works for you? |

Just out of curiousity, has anybody had luck with RITEKF1? It seems to work only about half the time for me. Also, in a somewhat related subject, in some of the reading I have been doing around the web, many people mention that disks made in Japan are markedly better than disks made in Taiwan. Does anybody here feel that way? Thanks! |
