Post subject:  DVD authoring
Since Nero decided to totally fuck up all there own software I am after a simple to use idiot proof DVD conversion app.

Will be for ppl that are not very techno literate so simplicity of ease is paramount. Any suggestions guys cos there are so fooking many out there?

I tried cucusoft somehting, but it was not automatic enough, you have to manually set FPS and AR etc all the time, also tried DVDSanta, but that would not even run properly.

For a simple one click solution that gives pretty good results - try VSO ConvertXtoDVD.

That is a sweet app my friend. I have been experimenting with various files and formats and it is indeed idiot proof and the results are excellent.

Might keep this one myself.

Good stuff - don't let spud know or he'll start going on about CCE and shit. :lol:

CCE does give excellent results though, but is a lot more messing about than the VSO product, which really does do the job very well with hardly any effort.

For me the technical side and user unfriendly side is not an issue, but for my friend it is.

TBH this is giving amazing results. I can't use the chapter function as it trashes the audio, but I never make chapters anyways so no great loss.

Audio and visual are fantastic though. Even if the source is pixellated the DVD comes out looking better, the mosaic is still there, but way more subtle.
