Post subject: | Advice on good and cheap graphic cards |
Hi, I want to change my old graphic card that's a Nvidia Geforce4 440Mx with something else that can play the newer games like splintercell and others. I try to play that and Black & white and it demands pixelshader 1.1 or above that my card cant deliver. I would like to be a nvidia and not to expensive around 100-150 Euro with tvout . I found this one GeForce 6800XT is it any good? XFX GeForce 6800XT 256MB GDDR3, 128bit, AGP8X, Tv-Out/Dual-DVI, "Black Edition" Thx alot |

lol, a Geforce 440MX isn't a graphics card, its a disgrace Seriously, don't let the name confuse you, the Geforce 440mx was a relabbelled geforce 2, hence why it sucks balls. You can't play anything on one of those. That's the problem with cheap cards.
Erm, never heard of an XT, I assume its a GT mistyped? The Geforce 6800 GT is an okay card, i have a pci-express one which is a completely different kettle of fish to a slow agp one. I can play pretty much every game out on my Geforce 6800 GT, but once again that's PCI-E not AGP. If the AGP is comparable to the PCI-E one, then yes, its okay. However, that particular one you should check reviews for, i'm not sure its any good in the whole scale of Geforce 6800s. Its not a bad card though. Edit: typo |
