This is a point of interest for a number of reasons, but anyhow, what is your main machines desktop resolution? :)

If you have a widescreen monitor or a different resolution to one listed, choose the nearest vertical value :)

1280x960. Many people use 1280x1024, but it's slightly squashed vertically, and i can't stand wrong aspect ratio...

None of us who clicked 1280x1024 will admit it either ;)

It just looks so damn... wide. But I bet it hurts your eyes. :D

I prefer widescreen as well.

I'm very happy with my 1024x768 on a 17" LCD monitor.

I've a hercules card from 1988

so mine is 640x200 :D

Nah, I've a 19" too. Max res is 1280x1024 and it looks damn crispy.

This is on all my machines except my server which doesn't have a monitor.

Anything above that and I can't really see it too well and I start to get headaches. It's hell to get old.

sounds like your monitor sucks helen ;)

Take a look at a big TFT and its the small screens that will give you a major headache. Very difficult for me to work on a poor CRT after working with a DELL 2001fp for so long, it hurts my eyes.

I'm sure it does. I can't wait until I buy a new machine. I'll be getting a flat screen this time.
