Recently GetRight is seriously pissing me off, so I think it's high time to get meself another download manager. I'm looking for something that would catch IE clicks, support http and ftp downloads, multiple connections and aternate sources. Possibly with tons of useful options.

I grabbed a cop yof Download Accelerator Plus from mule, works real good, been using for a coupl eof years on and off. |

what's pisssing you off with getright? I'm using it now for ftp'ing and it's working like a charm. The browser is very good, and more userfriendly than any ftp client I've ever tried. The rollback feature is great to avoid corruptions. used getright for years and always loved it. |

FlashGet is the best i tryed many of them (getright etc) but Flashget is best. + when i often use it like ftpclient it works where FlashFXP fails. |

Been using GetRight for years, works great. But for FTP, 'CuteFTP Pro' is the best program around in my opinion. -- |

Dunno what the other clients do, but I just use DAP for downloading files from the net, simple as that. It allows multiple connections to multiple servers, and it will also search for mirrors, which is real handy if the default server is slow as shit as you can swap servers during download to get best speed. |

Why Get Right is annoying: 1. It fails to launch the next download after finishing the previous one. 2. Its ftp is ok, but if there is some problem it's not so good anymore (most ftp clients support rollback). 3. They've been using the same interface for years, changing minor details and ignoring major inconveniences. 4. Their anti-piracy policy is annoying as hell. They started changing activation keys so that even after cracking/registering GetRight you have to download new serials all the time. 5. Apart from all that, it's a great program, really. I just wanted to know if there's something better available. Let me check this Download Accelerator Plus and then I'll tell you what I like about it, @John_Doe.

Ok, just needed a restart of my system after applying the crack. Adware removed. Download Accelerator (DAP) 5.3 premium+Language.rar @John_Doe, delete that GetRight of yours immediately. This one IS much better. |

download an install, you'll see. I've used many and the best two that I can remember were DAP and Flashget. |

Once you've done with the tuning (I had to mess with options a little) it is a perfect downloading tool. I also like the fact that even when it catches your link it can ask you whether you want to use accelerated download (DAP) or regular windows downloader (useful with some sites). Very fast and good search for alternate sources. Nice interface, options are sorted in a clearer way than in GR and are more useful. Very "confugurable". Easy scheduling. Just try, you'll see. ok.. I've downloaded it but wont have time to try it out today. but that option to ask if you want DAP to catch the file or the regular browser, is in Getright too. |
