Post subject:  Splitting AC3 5.1 files into seperate channels

...i have been using Mediatwins, AC3 Tools Pro to split an AC3 movie soundtrack into seperate files but now my trial has expired and i cant find a serial or crack for the program.

..Google searches such as "split ac3" or "demultiplex AC3" give hundreds of results mostly about "spliting into segments" or "demultiplexing ac3 from the video" which is not what i need....

...what i need is a program (free or cracked) that can take a 5.1 AC3 file and seperate the tracks into its component .wav files....

..anyone got a recommendation?

I use wavelab...but I'm not sure if it takes 5.1 AC3 file ...but you can record it live in wavelab first ..then seperate the files into segments...I got a crack of wavelab 4.0 which have worked perfectly for me..not the newest wavelab but works very well...let me know if that whats your after..

...i dunno, what i want is to seperate all the channels into single files to remove the dialogue track so i can get some peices of music from a movie without the dialogue.....

...as the soundtrack has beeen "with the lawyers" for a year now and no sign of it showing any time soon.

AC3 tools was great until the 15 day trial expired and there is no serial/crack/whatever to be found...

Try a google search for a DTS to AC3 conveter... that also strips off all the channels into wav files. I found one the other day but when I saw what was involved I didnt download it lol

An ed2k search for "ac3tools" yielded several results. Try searching on the mule.

@karstmobile

..i did search on emule and did download several of those results, all of which are the same program i was using before and a text file full of garbage and self congratulation, but NO serial or crack......

..or in few cases the same program i was using before and a random dll with no instructions what to do with it (just putting it in the install folder dosent work)

..or filters and codecs for playing ac3 content, which i can do anyway.

I have been advised that BeSweet or HeadAC3he can do it so i`ll check them out, i`m just more than a touch vexed that the program that did the job easily and well has a 15 DAY trial, no serial, keygen or other method of making it work other than me giving them $50 for somethig i`m probably only gonna use twice....

BeSweet can't do it. Headac3he might, I forget. An old CoolEditPro ac3 plugin used to do it too, but I can't find it anymore. What you CAN do is use DGIndex and demux the audio to a WAV file instead of ac3. Might be easier to work with right off the bat, and since you wanna resample it anyway.

Are you making your own remix? :googley:

..yeah i need to get some small music cues from this soundtrack to assemble into a full tune due to the fact that lawyers blow goats and cant sort out a soundtrack with TWO different artists!!!

...i`d format one of my machines and install AC3 tools and get my trail again if i didnt have drives full of movies and crap...
