Post subject:  Morphxt (help please)

I seem to have a problem with the Morphxt program. I installed it to get faster download speeds but since doing so I have dropped to a low ID and no amount of tinkering with the settings can change it back.
Also and this may be nothing to do with it but i used to leave Emule running in the background when browsing the web but now it takes forver to load up any pages.
Is there a way to remove the Morphxt add on but leave my original Emule program.

Any help would be so appreciated.

:(

I have MorphXT running and I don't have such problems like you describe. I sometimes have a low ID but only temporarily. Did you have a high ID always when using regular eMule? Most of the time it has something to do with ports/port forwarding when you have a low ID. Maybe the ports you used with regular eMule have changed since you installed MorphXT?

About pages on the net loading slower: this can hardly be caused by MorphXT. At least I haven't experienced anything like it. Check what other changes you might have made.

Cheers for the reply

I have always had a high ID until Morphxt was installed and i went through all the settings and put them the same as they were before but still low ID.
I guessed that it couldn't be affecting my web browsing but thought i would mention it.
I will have to investigate further and see if anything else has been changed on my PC.

Have you checked your firewall? It could block the application. I had a similar problem last weekend:
I was about to go crazy, because I got a low ID permanently. Then I realised that it could be my firewall. I added eMule (Xtreme Mod though) to the allowed applications (called list of exceptions) and restarted my PC. It worked for me.

Cheers Redveil,
I tried what you said and it seems to be working at the moment, I feel a bit of a donut for not checking that first.

It's allowed to be a donut, as long as you admit it ;)
