I'm currently restoring some old LPs. There is background noise that I can remove with Audacity. Unfortunately there are those nasty scratches/peaks I can't get rid off. Even if I zoom in to get only that scratch into the noise profile does not help removing it. Can anybody please help me with this? |

or you could get really advanced and use spectral editing with audition. |

Unfortunately I didn't know the effect is called "Click". Thank you very much for the link. Do you mean Adobe Audition? |

yes I do. Spectral editing is hard though, be warned. Try Click/pop removal first. |
