From 2012 on all BluRay labeled devices (including PS3) must include this DRM technique. What do you think?

Don't use BluRay labeled devices (including PS3) to play your videos. :)

HTPC FTW! :beerchug:

BluRay - Bad luck under Real awesome youth. I don't need highest resolution for life! CD, DVD & Blu-ray is not for me! Nothing special! Tehnology is to fast for me! Return to Charlie Chaplin times!

I said it back when it was launched' I see no value in BluRay and I've stuck to it... I do not own a single BluRay and am still waiting for its replacement. I download almost exclusively 1080p material, so quality isn't the issue, its just a shit format.

The market share finally took off and the bluray offering is much larger, but i really dont see the point of bluray:

I still see bluray failing before it gets anywhere near the market penetration and catalogue dvd got/gets.

I have no idea why they continued with optical media, its just a crap format.

Oh and sorry on topic, i don't have or care about bluray or what sony do and use a HTPC.

People seem overly resilient to piracy techniques, ps3 owners are usually tech fags or idiots, the former will hack it or work around, the latter deserve what they created. BluRay will be ripped, hacked and mangled to enable piracy, as with all things. The solution is reducing the price to hit mass market, look at steam and the iphone game market.
