Darn the dog bit my network cable in half.

So my server and emule is off :(

It's hard to put the cable up high so the dog can't reach it.

Can I spray some stuff that dogs dont like on a cable that they wont touch it?

Yeapp.. put some mustard on the cables.. or make it smell like mustard. (Fact)

I have 2 dogs.... and they liked to chew on alot of things when they were small.. so i used mustard on power/network/tv.. just every cable :)

Did the trick for me.

eh, i used to spray mace or pepper spray/tear gas spray(they sell it at wal-mart or most gas stations for a couple dollars) on christmass trees to keep the cat out of it. that may just be sold in some countries. i guess mustard would be easier, but watching a pet lick the carpet(hehehe, gross) or dirt trying to get the spray stuff off its tongue is kind of funny. i wouldnt put mustard or foodtype stuff out because it would attrack bugs. yeah, i know mace and pepper sprays are made from concentrated spices, but they dont attract bugs.

eh, bite the dogs tail off, that'll teach 'em to leave your stuff alone.
the smelly magic markers probably would work. the kind that numbs your tongue.

Dogs don't like potassium cyanide. Cover your cables with it and I assure you your dog won't bite it a second time.
