My cousin used to have one of those "vr" headsets. It wasnt really vr it was just like a screen showing your computer monitor output but it looked huge kinda like an Imax movie if uve ever seen them. Pretty cool for playing games and stuff

I have a (bit smaller - only 10 keys) Nostromo and it's somewhat useful, but really not much. 'twas a moment of weakness as the price was low.
I used to play with a VFX-1 headgear some years ago - the only playable game was System Shock. OK, more than just a few years. Fancy, but heavy and cumbersome and eyes hurt after 15 minutes. IMO, VR will be successfull only when there won't be any need for such gadgets and the machines will connect directly to our nervous system. Like Neo, huh. But would you drill a hole in your head?

the boomerang mouse is the only way to go. Keyboard wise, I've seen an ace one with a deatchable numbad with extra buttons that you can use as a remote control for you pc:
This one is by logitech but I'm not sure if its the same one.
Erm, I actually have one of these:
Seriously. I gave it to my little brother. Me will track it down.

The numpad also has a LED display, it's quite cool, but as all Bluetooth devices it's bloody expensive.

?170 at pc world, i was looking at the one I'm referring to there. I think its that one for def. Was considering buying one, but don't think i'm gonna bother.
batteries drain like anything, I had an original m$ digital radio mouse and that ate batteries like a fat guy eating a McDonalds.

That's why it's good to have a charger, especially with optical ones. I use Logitech MX700 which needs recharging once a week and I'm happy with it.

I will let you in the loop. Those backpacks can not only catch ghosts and make you look socially superior when wearing them, but you can plug it into any electrical device with a phono-out in its most basic form. Telephones, fax machines, you name it.... now, feel the pain your toasters in every time you heat bread!
