OK, I need a new keyboard, BUT I want something quality, as opposed to a ?5 POS, I've been looking at the diNovo, BUT I don't need the mouse (as I already have an MX1000), is the DiNovo laptop keyboard the same as the desktop one but without Bluetooth and the MX1000?
My current keyboard is too low and exceptionally uncomfortable
Any other recommendations?

well the dinovo is a flat keyboard, if you don't like flat keyboards look elsewhere. You know the kind, kind of laptopy.
I have 2.0, it has the mouse you mentioned.
It's essentially a 1.0 with a better mouse and battery life.
The bluetooth hub is a good feature, easiest way for me to network portables up to my pc... no faffing around with other stuff.
As for the laptop version, i *think* the keyboard is smaller perhaps folderable and i'm not sure it has the media pad.
The latest full size dinovo i think comes with MX1000, fullsize keyboard and bluetooth, so its essentially 2.0 with a newer mouse.
Don't quote me on that, I bought my keyboard a long while back now, I would comment that there was a reason I didn't choose the cheaper laptop one, although i can't recall why.

I've got a bluetooth usb dongle, so i'm not overly bothered about that, I quite like the Apple Pro Keyboard , it's not as flat (which I don't really like)
OK, so no DiNovo, anything else?

LOL I use a very technical method for choosing mine. I simply choose the one that looks the coolest, with the most buttons and shit.

Well, I'm pretty much the opposite, I hate all those extra buttons. Cool is good though which is why that Apple keyboard is so nice

I recommend going to a junk stor and getting an old keyboard, you know the type you can throw at a wall or punch the shit out of and it will not break. DeLL Quiet Key is a good one.... you should be able to find them in most junke stores.... get a bunch for a few buncks.
I like them as they are good hardware, you can not break em, I wash mine every few years with a hose for example.

I'd go for Das Keyboard:
http://www.daskeyboard.com/
It's a very high quality keyboard without the bullshit keys that you'll never use anyway.

das board seems a tad crappy, seen plenty of keyboards without key text on and that's merely because they build the keyboards and then print the keys later so they can ship to any country So from looks, it looks extremely crap. It looks like a piece of crap, but admitedly, the real test is in the ... well test, so its very misleading judging keyboards of the internet.
I'm keeping an eye on the programmable keyboard simply because i have a lot of set keyboard combinations and do some gaming and programming so i think it could work for me more.
The nostromo n52 is an awesome 'keyboard'/pad btw.
