Being written by Clive Barker, but is this really needed and even with a much bigger budget, will it be any better than the original? I bet it will be set in the USA too.

Naturally. Other nations are irrelevant , not ?

Oh, apart from Iraq. For the story that is.
They'll probably have some US marine find this box in some ancient mesapotanian (modern day Iraq) ruin. :matrix:

totally agree, there is no reason to remake most things.

They can just make a sequel that's totally unrelated with the same things happening. I guess they are doing this so they can drop pinhead and co from the mix, and hire cheaper actors.

back to the remake, Paul Anderson and Uwe Boll should direct it :)

The average person doesn't care. I'm not even sure that I care. Would I prefer a sequel to a remake? I don't know. I guess, I'd rather see it a remake. I've seen a few remakes that I really liked (Fly, Thing, Hills Have Eyes) and almost no sequels.

IMO they should just leave the whole Hellraiser series as they are. No "more" remakes, prequels/sequels etc. If they wanna do more Hellrraiser movies why don;t they come up with a 'new' story.

In all seriousness, though, I think Hollywood should focus on remaking movies that should have been good, but weren't. The Amityville Horror is a great example. It had a great and interesting story, but the movie was pure shite. Unfortunately, the remake wasn't any better, but it could have improved on the original
