Never seen the original.

Saw the trailer tonight.

Can't say I'm in a hurry to see that.

*Starts wondering if it'll reach the point where a remake of Battlefeild Earth will pop up in 15 years.*

While some may not like the original Black Christmas, there isn't a single valid comparison to even bring it anywhere NEAR the level of Battlefield Earth

I hope you're saying that in a good way... Battlefield earth sucked.

Oh yeah, that must be sarcasm on the highest level. :D

I really liked Black Christmas. To this day my girlfriend won't watch
that one in the dark. I also like a movie that you can walk away from
and debate the ending for a little while. Olivia Hussey is kinda cute to...

As for a remake, good God why? I can't write enough to express
how much distaste I have for poorly-made rehashed ideas to appeal to
a frickin' teen audience.

No, no. Please don't misunderstand me. In no way was I comparing the orginal to Battlefeild Earth. As I said, I haven't seen it.

I was commenting on the cynical and ever increasing amount of remakes, as have been commented on many times in this forum.

I was suggesting that the longer these remakes go on, the more desperate they are going to become.

Bit hungover, but I hope you get what I'm saying.

I agree... I hate remakes as most of you do, however, I dont know how I feel desperate to watch this one...

I [think I] read in Fangoria, this was a Black Christmas meets Joshua (meets  Porky's  ????) movie.

I [hope] this one has more erotic / sexual content among with loads of blood and gore, that'll make me very very happy.

Recenlty I re-saw the Original Black Christmas and I found out it was awfully boring and long.... don't know why :( Maybe I was desperate, I dont know.

All in all, I dont expect a movie which could surpass the original, but I expect a fun and entertaining b-movie :D
