Silent Hill, very good videogame film, much better than any of the Resident Evils
28 weeks later, decent sequel to the gritty low budget original

Last Sunday I watched these:

- The Undead (1957): nice but weird movie about scientist/hypnoticist who regresses a woman back to the Middle Ages in France where she is about to be burnt as a witch. When escaped, she is altering history which will damage the future, and the scientist is stepping in to solve this problem. Fun enough, I'll release this one after "Earth vs The Spider".

- Enemy Gold: a non-storyline movie with playmates carrying guns and explosives. Mindless fun and (very) big boobs. This one and its fellow movies are on my to do list as well

- Absurd: classic nasty with enough gore to keep the fun going. Although I thought a mutated killer which can only be killed by a headshot is actually a zombie.

last night, we watched the workprint of Rob Zombie's Halloween. Not bad... There were elements of it that I would have liked to see in the theatrical, but I'm glad that he chose to do some reshoots and bring Bill Moseley and Sid Haig into the picture.

Time for some non-horror movies:

Disturbing Behavior - made me think of The Faculty and I liked both, but didn't love them. Katie Holmes is good looking in this movie, it's such a shame she's "Tom Cruise-d" and a Victoria Beckham lookalike now :zombiebullet: .

Into The Blue - I just watched this to see Jessica Alba in a bikini for almost two hours. Bad storyline, but who cares?

Gorgasm.

Bloody Awful low budget serial killer film with 1 chick who gets her nipples put many times (but nothing else) to tease a bunch of losers who are looking for the ultimate orgasm but get killed instead. Avoid :pirate:

Casino.

Damn fine gangster movie starring Al Pacino :matrix:

Lik Wong aka The Story of Ricky - completely over the top story of a superfighter in a prison. Fantastic how he punches through people!!

The Gravedancers - quite an entertaining movie which kept me interested until the end. I really liked the make up job, next to all that CGI stuff nowadays this looked very good. And this movie is from 2006, so the director shows how it still can be done.

Mortuary - funny and gory movie about some subterranean monster spawning zombies.

Laserblast - hilariously bad scifi movie about aliens who keep forgetting a superweapon which transforms the owners into monsters.

Netflix sent us "Death Proof" yesterday. I liked it... It was more fun and less complex than most of Tarantino's films. I like his aesthetic. He's not one of my favorite directors, but he knows how to entertain, and he can make you feel like you're watching something much older. The soundtrack, as always, was excellent.
What's funny about this is that my boyfriends buddy George *hates* feet, so his review of this movie was something like - "It sucked, just like all his other flicks, there's friggin bare feet in every other shot!" So when we watched it, we had a giggle at his expense every time there were feet onscreen - and he was right, there's an awful lot of feet in this flick.

Forest of Fear - yet another nasty with a good amount of gore at the expense of a storyline ;) It took me around half an hour before I could follow the "story" and just at that moment it didn't matter anymore  (Maybe it was because it was in the middle of the night, maybe it was the movie)

Reform School Girl - the least horror of the 10 Arkoff movies I'm releasing. This looks like some sort of "mother of all WIP movies". It doesn't take place in a prison, but the reform school is viewed by most of the characters as such.
