i just watched stephen kings 1408 and just as i expected it wasn't very good. i don't know why they bother to make stephen king novels into films as they are usually crap. carrie and the shining were without doubt to me the best.

not really good at explaining movies so just go to

1408 was good when you compare it to the avarage movie based on kings novel

Don't forget Misery. I kind of have a weakness for the King miniseries though. The Stand, It, Storm of the Century.

I quite enjoyed 1408, it was an effective haunted room movie

Watched 3 films today...

28 weeks later,
Resident evil 2
& swamp zombies.

28 weeks kicked ass, lots of plotholes as usual with zombie films, RE2 again was good, saw milas big fat nipples (the highlight) & as for swamp zombies, that was really low budget with shop assistants as actors & I kept falling asleep to be woken up 3 times by my 6yr old son who loved it lol

tonight i watched..

disturbia, the breed, wrong way and joy ride

wrong way wasn't my cup of tea and disturbia was a bit disappointing. however, i quite enjoyed the breed and even tho' joy ride had a couple of boring moments, i did quite like it.

Yesterday I watched "Abominable".

I thought it was quite a nice movie, with some original elements (ie the main character is in a wheelchair), some funny stuff (the final shot, I won't give it away) and a weird monster. Unfortunately it was a bad rip, with AV out of sync, horrible sound and some glitches. I hope the one posted here is good, because I'm redownloading it now.

Left In Darkness - pffft, what a boring movie! This is one of those movies you immediately want to Shift+Del. Damn.

For people in doubt: it's about a girl with very ugly silicone breasts. She dies, but at first doesn't notice. Then she has to save her soul to get it to heaven before the soul eaters come to take it away. Well. That's about it. VERY BORING!!

Night of the Comet - another pretty good (a bit tongue in cheek) movie which I had only a bad rip of. Another redownload :)

Blood Trails - mmm, not sure. Some aspects attracted me, like the relationship between killer and victim, others turned me off, like the long sequels of mountain biking.

Mangiati Vivi - the best cannibal flick I watched until now, except maybe for Holocaust of course. The effects were still obviously fake, but les fake than other movies (read: Cannibal Terror).

Alone In The Dark - I thought this would be a nice shoot-up movie with a hero and loads of monsters. I was disappointed. And Tara Reid is not even distantly attractive!

I have to disagree with you there in the sense of holocaust was 1 of those films that you can see why it was banned. The killing of the animals.. turtle, monkey etc. is real & personally I did not enjoy watching it & wont ever watch it again. I'd rather watch watership down first which has traumatised me for almost 30 yrs

Fair enough, I did put in the word "maybe" for a reason there :) Another thing with Holocaust is that it was the first cannibal movie for me to see, and you know what it is with first things: they usually stick around in your mind and therefore have an advantage over things that have come later.

Mmm, maybe this is not so very clear: I just mean that you like things more when they are new.

Tonight I watched Hatchet. No great classic and probably overhyped but still a good retro-style slashfest with some heavy gore and a few good laughs. 7/10.

Camp Slaughter (Camp Daze) - a horror version of Groundhog Day, in which the day is somewhere in summer 1981 and a killer is on the loose in camp Hiawatha. Some pretty good killings, although the stranglings were dull.

Hillside Cannibals - What's the idea of this movie? That's the 100 dollar question! Totally no idea, even after having watched the end twice. This is no end of a movie, this is just celluloid running out. If you can choose between two movies, don't choose this one.

Yesterday I watched the following:

Headspace - pretty nice movie about hyperintelligent people who have to fight the forces of evil.

Sea of Fear - very predictable slasher on a boat. Everyone dies the way they fear most. Yawn.

Snakes On A Train - Believe this, because it's true:

imdb wrote:
We actually sat through the entire thing completely ready to turn it off (we're too lazy to walk over and hit eject). Next thing we knew we don't know what the heck was going on but something amazingly funny happens at the end. It's one of those endings that you'll rewind a few times just to squeeze the laughs out, because you suffered for so long.

Last 10 min a "8", rest of the movie a 2.

The last 10 minutes are hilarious! The rest is boring, except for some green gore.

Satanic - some sort of possessed girl is killing off people she knows and loves. And then it turns out to be something else she didn't think of. Nice try, great miss.

Just now I watched

Demon Hunter - quite nice Buffy-like movie in which a guy does not try to be the exorcist. He just kills possessed people and their demons.
