:googley:

Was breaking news nearly a year ago, i was half expecting it not to be part of his dead films but a different franchise but it seems it is:

Honestly, after land of the dead i'm a bit put off, but its good to know he's gone independent again. :)

Night and Dawn were great but Day and Land sucked ass. I wasted money on that Land of the Dead piece of shit in the theatre. Everybody thought it was lame....

Hey, i thought Day was pretty awesome actually. Its not as good as the previous two but i thought it was excellent.

Land of the Dead was okay, but hardly fitting with the other three and the story and direction was awfully crude in comparison. Maybe it was a critical analysis of modern films and we just didn't realise? :wacky:

Day of the Dead rocked, and as for Land, you just need to watch it repeatedly to fully appreciate.

yeah i got a myspazz page i figured it`d be a half-decent way of getting in touch with some of the folk at my old school who i aint seen in years so i could laugh at them and see who got fat and old.

..other than that, i must have missed the year old news... although i seem to remember something now if i think about it...

...but i may be confusing it with the "Diamond Dead" musical thing that i didnt beleive was real either.

In order of preference.

1:Day.
2:Night
3:Dawn
4:
5:
6:
7:
8:
9:
10:Land

Spaces left for any future films Romero makes in whatever (hopefully many) years he has before he turns into a grey-skinned shuffler himself.

imo, 1-3 are backwards, but land is substantially worse than the rest :)

i for one loved Land of the Dead and know quite a few people who liked it as well. Shrug. But i guess this is the level of discussion and people you get on internet-forums.

Land of the Dead is not a very bad movie, but compared to the other three it doesn't come out very well. It lacks the irony of Night and Dawn and the whole atmosphere is less gripping. However, I enjoyed watching it.

I just think it makes a more shallow movie, its not as much art as it is entertainment. Problem with a lot of films these days; I think Romero just got sloppy.

Dennis Hopper was LotD's main reason for being, I thought. But then I could watch him do almost anything (except have sex, that would be gross. There's a Freudian minefield: zombies = good, old-people sex = bad. Hmm…).

Day of the Dead is best remebered for a funky zombie and a guy who looks like Bono becoming zombie-chow. If only it had been Bono.

Maybe after Diary… he can do Band of the Dead, and they could be zombies on tour and they'd eat the warm-up acts and roadies and… Probably wouldn't be very long. And I suppose Romero did that when he directed that Misfits video (which isn't very long — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB2YL4tG3Sg).

Having a strange brain like mine has it's upside. For example, the DotD remake was no problem for me, I just class it as a seperate film. If this new one turns out to fuck up the continuity then I shall do the same with this one too.

TBH I actually quite enjoyed LotD, but consider it a seperate film.

The next one after this could be Eastend of the Dead, Frank Butcher could turn up and eat Pat Evans, LOL, or how about Bianca does EastEnders?

LMAO the ideas just keep on coming to me, they are better than any of the shit the Hollywood muppets are coming up with lately.

EastEnd of the Dead, brilliant!

Den would have to re-emerge, and you'd have the Mitchells running around going, 'Oi! Brains!'

Babs barring people from the Vic "I can' 'ave you in 'ere eatin' my customers!"

EmmerDead? Resurrection Street? Home and Undead? Hollyoaks…
