@bioshock sequel,
Bioshock sequels was obviously in the cards before the game came out. It is pretty much a sequel to System Shock 2 anyway.
I'm not sure I'd want a franchise sequel as much as a new game around the same ideas (ala. SS2 to BioShock). What would be nice would be to get a game that didn't compromise its vision so much for the xbox360, like they did with this shock

Urgh! Butt ugly, blatantly commercial Dragon Ball Z. Feel free to trash THAT till your heart's content...Can't judge the MMORPG, but don't even think for an istant that DBZ is even minimally representative of the average japanese game/manga/anime, only because it was widely successful.
If THAT was the common style (and gameplay quality) in oriental games i'd be a 100% western gamer.
Interesting Gamespot thread, sad to see that cartoon graphics are limited to adventure games (and indie games; yes, i have a bit of culture verging on both sides). Next time a link will be enough, though
See you to the next "compromised vision"(whatever that means.)!
...Since you're going to see a lot of 'em, much more than you'll ever want.

loading... Deus... loading.... Ex... loading... 2.... loading.
Fundamentally piss poor game because it was designed for fundamentally piss poor architecture caused by a fundamentally piss poor console.
nuff said;
I doubt we will see less pc games, since well, its the same thing people have been saying for 20 years. We'll see more multiplatform games and more middleware games but top skew things you can only do on top skew hardware, and that's always going to be the pc, until we start calling pcs consoles that is.

So I finally got round to playing this last week..... not on the PC but on the 360. Fantastic game, got 49/51 achievements & cant see me completing it on hard especially without dieing My question is, the box says 'Live' on the cover yet I cant see any options to play on live. Am I missing something or is this a lie?

Are there any games made for the 360 that aren't "Live"? It is a single player game... the live just means it can interact with the Live service (gamer score, etc). Unless I missed something too.

The "Live" means "Severely degraded game, for paupers and the mentally disturbed who want to play a FPS with a friggin pad" Seriously, I know making the best of a bad situation but I'd hate having to play through games like BioShock on a console

Yeah, I think you might be.... I've got 3 games here, tomb raider anniversary, spiderman 3 & hitman blood money (no comments on the titles please) that dont have live written on the box. Judging by my sons experience, all his games that say live on the box allow you to either play co-op (lego star wars) or proper multiplayer (COD 3). Yeah I know Spud, but my boy has been mythering me since xmas to play 360 with him & I'm not used to a pad so figured I'd give a well rated game a go so as to get the hang of it for his sake

I looked at all my cases... I only have one game without the "Live" branding, but a difference can be seen on the back. The game without "Live" doesn't have any of the Live features (orange colored): online multiplayer, content download, leaderboards, voice, etc...

Bioshock...... My mom bought this for me thinking I would like it. Could not have been farther from truth. For starters, I prefer my games to be gameplay focused. A long drawn out storyline I can do without. Just give me my 25 minutes to an hour of fun and i'm satisfied. That and I can't see myself sitting in front of a game where i'm basically accomplishing nothing but "furthering the story" for 10+ hours. Imagine how lame that would sound, "eh, shorty, call me back i'm a few hours into this MGS4". My list of favorite genres Racing (hate sims, dont give a fuck about the feel of a car, can't be bothered with customization. love the arcade style go as fast as you can to beat the other racers types, ie. Burnout, F-Zero GX) 2d fighters (I'm playing the fuck out of SF4 between study sessions and I play on the competitive circuit) Puzzle games (well, mainly tetris. Tetris has become a part of my daily routine) Shmups(Yes, the genre is still alive, and no, Ikaruga is not the hardest game ever. The only reason I even bothered to buy a ps2 was for an import Dodonpachi.) As for FPS's, ugh. Besides Portal, I refuse to play them, spend money on them, or even spend time on them. People have tried, but sorry, I don't care how involving the story is, how lush the graphics look, the gameplay aspect and otherwise pretensiousness of the genre and its fanbase completely turns me off. Not too mention the antisocial nature of gaming in general nowadays. When did it become acceptable to spend 10 hours playing a video game alone?

I don't play FPS or RTS shit like that. So buying a gaming pc would be a waste of $$$ for me. If anything, I collect PCB's (actual arcade boards), in addition to a DC, ps2, GC, and X360.
