Is anyone else planning on checking out Insomnifest?
For those who don't know, it's an online only horror movie festival.
It starts on the 11th and runs until the 24th.
Some of the movies in the lineup look pretty good, especially "Gutterballs" and the quote "basher" flick "Methodic".

My only concern is that many more people will participate than expected and bog server(s) down, and at $4.99 per movie, that could be disastrous on many levels.

Anyway, if anyone wants to check it out: http://www.insomnifest.com/

Hey, I just complained about this in another thread, with Slasherpool pimping them out. :D

Where did you find the price? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the site.

Next release will be: La Cité Des Entfants Perdu (1995) + Making Of (Status: working on the subtitles)
Last release was: Svengali (1931)

In the FAQ section it says "4,99" comma and all. I assume it's $4.99 per flick.

I contacted them and it is indeed $4,99.
I asked them about that server concern and they told me that their servers could hold up to 10,000 viewers at the same time. It should be fine I think.

I decided to check out Gutterballs.

The server that the video played on was fine and the bitrate was decided based
on your connection. I could full screen it and get about VHS quality on my 2nd monitor (HDTV)

The payment situation was very misleading though. They stated that you could pay with PAYPAL, there was no such option. Sidenote: I emailed support about this and I accidentally recieved a cc back from support that included support asking another support person what the problem was. REAL professional... Also the whole website that the INSOMNIFEST used was trying to get you to upgrade to a premium account constantly. I used a prepaid visa to pay just incase.. It was all very "I have no fucking Idea what I'm doing" feel to it.
