The carmageddon game got canned which I think was a stupid move for an obvious cashin title:
http://news.filefront.com/pseudo-intera ... rmageddon/
Quote:
A new sequel to the racing game for the chemically imbalanced has reportedly been canned with the recent closing of Pseudo Interactive. The developer of Full Auto was shutdown following major layoffs by the hand of Eidos and SCi, who more recently scrapped several games – including one in development by Pseudo, which was, according to Next Gen, a new Carmageddon.

They claim this news comes from a senior games industry executive that isn’t connected to either Eidos or Pseudo. If true, it’s simultaneously disappointing and exciting. While it’s a shame that Pseudo wasn’t able to follow through with development of a new Carmageddon – which is a pretty natural step after having developed Full Auto – at least it shows that there was some interest in rebooting the franchise.

Does anyone else have fond memories of any of the old Carmageddon games, or am I alone on this one?

Was never a fan of the original death race and i imagine I will dislike the new on based on how shit i think Paul W.S Anderson's movies have been (barring Event Horizon only), only thing i liked associated with it was:

its at the top of every single page of the forum too

Not the screen though... can't tell much from it though, and his past record has been rather sketchy. Very difficult to make a film on such a flimsy premise.
