Saw a trailer for this on Channel 4 last night, and it looks pretty cool from the previews:

The zombies don't look half bad for a TV production.

It could be brilliant...

Charlie Brooker's involvement will hopefully mean it's a lot more TVgohome or Brass Eye than Nathan Barley.

I loved Nathan Barley, I don't understand why people don't like it.

Oh, I'm on it, no doubt.

I'll try to subtitle it to Portuguese. Spread the plague, you know

Just finished watching the first episode of this and I gotta say, it's awesome! It's fairly tongue-in-cheek at one point and just descends into mad frenzy at another. I am by no means a fan of Big Brother, but that shouldn't stop those like me from appreciating this show. The zombies are scary (very reminiscent of Danny Boyle's zombies in "28 Days Later"), the pace quickens to a frenzy after the first 15 minutes, the tension is darkly giddy, and the right amount of comedy is sprinkled throughout. I dunno about you guys, but I'm in for the whole six episodes.

I love this series - but wish it was longer, an hour each night would have been great.

I'm in two minds. While it's clearly one of the best made for TV horror efforts in many years, it has so far lacked originality IMO. Aside from setting it in the Big Brother house, a whole bunch of scenes and dialogue look to have been rewritten from Dawn of the Dead (with a smattering of Day thrown in for good measure). I'm still really enjoying it, but it just retreads old ground and brings few fresh ideas to the genre.

Oh, and the overuse of 'shakycam' does my head in.
