maybe strange topic, but few of you maybe allready noticed, that i like snow  it's one of my bunch of fetishes. Everybody has it. Like opinion, like asshole.

I'm talking about movies like Thing, Shining and like that. Fritt Villt also fits in. So, cause many of you are experts, and i always checking your recomemandations, please suggest few "snow horror" movies. Scandinavian horror also fits here, if it has that scandinavian spirit :)

Thanks in advance

Dance of the Vampires (aka The Fearless Vampire Killers) (1967): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061655/

This is one great horror comedy with snowy Transylvanian winter and Count Dracula. Highly recommended if you like snowy landscapes and spooky, stylish atmosphere!!

I think you can go for all X-Mas holiday horror movies.

+ Grotesque
+ Snow Beast

Hmmm... I can't come up with more now. :?

Dreamcatcher, 30 days of night, let den ratte komma in - allready soad, allcause. But it's nice, that you mentioned those. And, yes, i liked them. Let the right one in is best vampire movie ever. Cause it's so realistic, together-with-real-life, but also keeps all vampiric "canones".

I'll check the other ones, thanks

Good thread, I really think snow, heavy rain, etc. are really good settings for horror!

I'm going to throw in X-Files: I Want to Believe. Vancouver is a great place for horror.

I am pretty sure the movie "Phantoms (1998)" has snow in it. Although I could be wrong because I often get that and "Dreamcatchers" confused. Heres some good ones: "The Shining" (both of them) has snow in it. And so do both versions of The Thing" especially John Carpenter's which is freaking awesome if you haven't seen it.
